Reorganize Your ScrapBox Furniture For The New Year
Our furniture makes it much easier to stay organized, but it's still in your best interest to take time to refresh and reevaluate. Hobbies and interests change and so should your organizational strategy. Follow these 5 steps to make your ScrapBox furniture feel brand new!
1. Empty Your Box
Take out EVERYTHING. Dust and wipe out shelves, totes, drawers, etc. Start with a clean slate!
2. Take Inventory
Make four piles with your supplies and materials:
- Things you use ALL THE TIME
- Things you use often
- Things you don't use a lot, but need occasionally
- Things you don't use anymore
3. Make a New Plan
Consider the following questions:
- How can I organize so that everything in pile #1 is closest at hand?
- Were there any inconveniences with my previous arrangement? How can those be fixed?
- What things in pile #4 should be removed from my workspace?
Maybe it's time for an upgrade! Take a look at some of our most popular accessories:
Door Upgrade Kit - Fits the Workbox 1.0 velcro doors and our WorkBox 2.0 and 3.0 right swing door.
White Magnetic Boards - Never lose sight of your metal dies again!
WorkBox Crown - Add this beautiful touch of crown molding to your WorkBox. Included with the crown is our doubled stranded LED Light kit.
ScrapMaBox - Your stackable storage solution with adjustable shelves.
If you have an older version of our furniture, you can upgrade by switching out the fabric totes for the new clear totes! See the blog post below for more details.
Already using the clear totes? A fun way to switch it up could be to add labels! Check out the video below for some ideas and inspiration.
If labeling isn't your thing, there are lots of other fun ways to add some personality to your box. Mandy Leahy, our January 'Meet The Maker' spotlight, added decorative paper to her clear totes. We think the result is just stunning!
4. Refill the Box
Remember how much fun it was to fill up your empty box for the very first time? Now you get to revisit that feeling! This time with a refreshed organizational strategy.
5. Set a Schedule
When will your next deep cleaning take place? Set a day, write it on your calendar and commit to making it happen!
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HAPPY CRAFTING!
